2 Bedroom Condo in Brookings

By The Sea is a newly remodeled and beautiful oceanfront two-bedroom, two-bath condo located on the first floor of the "C" building at the Rainbow Rock Condos, located just north of Brookings. The unit is the center of three units and can be accessed without using stairs on either the right or left side of the building. I usually recommend that guests needing to use the flat walkway park on the right side of the building, where there are nice, large parking spots.
By The Sea has breathtaking views of the ocean from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and patio outside. Relax watching the waves crashing below, and boats going by. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a whale! The unit is well-stocked, very comfortable, and inviting, with "By The Sea" decor. The unit is NOT equipped with A/C due to the fact that it rarely gets hot on the ocean bluff, which is located in the banana belt, and there is usually a really nice ocean breeze that keeps temperatures cooler. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms, and the unit does have an extra-large slider door that leads to the closed-in patio and windows that open in both bedrooms. There is an electric fireplace in the living room that provides a nice ambiance, and there is also central heat.
The gated condo complex sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean. There is a private nature trail with lovely bushes, trees, plants, and flowers from the complex to the secluded beach below, where you will find a small cave, rock cliffs with amazing colors, and plenty of tide pools to explore. If the trail is a little challenging for some, Harris Beach State Park is just south of the condos, and they have nice, large concrete walkways down to the beach. There is also Lone Ranch Beach just north of the condos that has easy access as well.
Inside the unit, there is a binder with information that you will need, along with recommendations for other places you might want to check out in the area, as well as restaurants to enjoy.
By The Sea is managed by a local property manager, Valerie, who has been working with vacation rentals since 2014. Valerie is dedicated to making sure that your check-in and stay run smoothly. After booking, she will call you to go over some information, let you know what to expect, provide you with contact information, and answer any questions you may have. Summary: Absolutely loved our stay! The condo’s view was stunning out the living and dining room windows! The two swivel recliners were our spots to rest and enjoy that view! Condo was immaculately clean and the kitchen was well stocked! You can walk down to a private beach that is beautiful with tide pools and a rock tunnel that was amazing! Valerie was the most thoughtful and helpful host we’ve ever had! Hope to go back in the near future! Thank you Valerie for making our stay so comfortable and easy!

Summary: This condo is in the perfect location and so incredibly clean. The kitchen had everything you need. The beds are super comfortable. I am 71 and the walk down to the beach was fine for me. Just take your time walking back up! Rainbow rock is worth walking through. We would for sure stay there again. And...Valarie is the best!

Summary: The Condo's best feature is it's great views of the ocean and coastline. There is no access to the beach from the facility, however, there are public parks providing access only a short driving distance away. The unit itself is immaculate and well decorated with a fully equipped kitchen offering everything one needs to prepare and enjoy meals. We enjoyed our morning coffee and happy hour glass of wine on the patio as we watched the tides go in or out. Very peaceful and relaxing.Valerie, the property manager, was very attentive and an excellent host and concierge. She was able to answer any question we had and made sure everything was in order for a smooth and easy check in and check out. There is a fairly long list of do's and don'ts that are pretty easy to follow, some imposed by the Condo's HOA, but can appreciate them in order to keep the rental in good order and enjoyable for both guests and property owners. Our only regret was that we didn't plan more time at this location during our month long Oregon vacation. We would definitely recommend it for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle world.

Summary: Great location on the ocean. There are great baking supplies if you are a baker and a very nice oven. We walked down to the beach- it was a trail with a decent climb back up as well as logs to climb over to get to the sand. Once we were on the sand we had the whole beach to ourselves. Great bird watching.

Summary: We’ve stayed at Rainbow Rock a few times over the years in various properties and while they’re all good, this was the best! Clean, updated unit; well stocked kitchen; great furniture and electronics. Wonderful view. No complaints. Couldn’t ask for better!
